Immune Mediated Polyarthritis in a Dog - Ouch!

Published: 04 Dec 2016

Immune Mediated Polyarthritis is a surprisingly common condition in dogs. It involves marked inflammation of all the joints in response to an immune stimulus that may be primary (meaning it just happens with no cause) or secondary as a result of a reaction to a vaccination, blood parasite, disease or even cancer. Affected dogs can have mild-to-severe lameness but usually respond well to immunosuppressive therapy.
