Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome

Published: 19 May 2019

This video shows one of the ways we can help snub-nosed dogs that suffer from BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome). Here we see an elongated soft palate that required surgical trimming in order to make it fit properly in the upper respiratory tract. Some dogs will also have their nostrils widened and other tissue removed from the airways if needed. They generally breathe and feel much better after these surgeries.
