Catnip

"Catnip", "catmint", "catwort", "field balm" - it doesn't matter what you call it. Lions, tigers, panthers and your common domestic feline just can't seem to get enough of this fragrant herb. Catnip plants (Nepeta cataria and other Nepeta species) are members of the mint family. Fortunately for kitty, catnip - which is non-addictive - is also safe to eat. Yay!
