Ringworm is a fungal infection that occurs on the skin of pets and can affect their human owners too. An easy way to diagnose it is to notice a bright green fluorescence under a UV light on the affected skin of the pet - it is a quick and easy test but unfortunately will not pick up all cases of this infection. If the UV light test is negative, then the vet will need to do a fungal culture to confirm his or her suspiscions. If positive, then you've confirmed.
