Nurses are highly skilled creatures that are not put off by the sight of blood. They have to take multiple blood samples daily ~ sometimes for our medical patients and sometimes for our surgical patients. With animals, it helps to get it right the first time, as they are not always as forgiving as human patients when a vein is hard to find.
